In 2002 a Russian engineer came up with an IKEA concept for sustainable housing using Dome design. In 2013 after having developed his constructions in Finland and Spain he added the technology of SolarVIsion hence now having the option to have houses that are not only neutral but actually produce more than they consume.
Cleado uses these technologies combining the flexible Styrofoam Solar PV plates with the IKEA style Dome house construction: With 10m2 of Solar PV the house produce 110kwh AC per day while using only 20kwh AC per day hence generating a surplus which can be fed into the grid at a feeding tariff of 0.58 USD when in Japan.
The concept of CLEADO is to provide sustainable, effective living space at a competitive cost while generating a surplus of energy. CleaDo currently have housing ready in Japan, South Africa, Cayman Islands and Brazil. CleaDO develops land and construct dome houses fitted with solar panels. Main areas for construction of these houses are recreational land close to mountain or beach.
Power efficient living is a big thing in most countries. In Japan after the disaster 2011 several new renewable projects are developed and in South Africa and Brazil 30% of the energy is spent on heating up water. CleaDo changes this with affordable and sustainable living.
